There is a lot of scope if you are from Mechanical stream. PDMS, PDS are market leader platform for surface modeling, piping design, raceways, 2D drawign, Isometric, boq generation etc in power, energy sector industries. Market giants like BHEL, Siemens, Alstom etc are using PDMS for plant design.
First i like to explain what’s the difference of pds and pdms .
Initially the industry people’s used PDS for designing ,now itself its running , but
PDS have some limitation , so the people going towards PDMS which overcome all difficulties of PDS .
Piping systems are
like arteries and veins. They carry the lifeblood of modern
civilization. In a modern city they transport water from the sources of
water supply to the points of distribution; convey waste from
residential and commercial buildings and other civic facilities to the
treatment facility or the point of discharge. Similarly, pipelines carry
crude oil from oil wells to tank farms for storage or to refineries for
processing. The natural gas transportation and distribution lines
convey natural gas from the source and storage tank forms to points of
utilization, such as Oil & Gas Industry, Fertilizer Plants, Pulp and
Paper Plants, Pharmaceutical Plants, Water Treatment Facilities, Food
Processing Industry, Pipe Systems for hospitals and hi-rise office
buildings, Synthetic fuel plants, Offshore platforms, Environmental
waste disposal and Petrochemical products.
Many
projects will be designed for construction in other countries, offering
the designer opportunities for travel. Each project presents drafters
and designers with opportunities to expand their skills and knowledge of
the field of piping design.
